Cross border into Tanzania
Continue to village of Longido, a Maasai village
Maasai are one of the best known tribes of East Africa
One night at Tembo Guest House in Longido

Morning cultural tour of Longido village with guide
Visit the weekly cattle market
Cattle are the mainstay of Maasai livelihood and a large part of their culture

8/2/12 Morning flight Arusha to Serengeti, arriving around 10 am
Safari game drive in Serengeti National Park
Picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcrop) in the Serengeti
Late afternoon game drive en route to Ikoma Tented Camp

8/3/12 Safari game drives in Serengeti National Park
Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary on earth
Home to 3 million large mammals, about 35 species of large mammals

8/4/12 Morning game drive in Serengeti National Park
Depart Serengeti and visit Olduvai Gorge
Site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s discovery of ancient human remains
Two nights at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

8/5/12 Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive
Animals don’t migrate out of the crater due to the 2000’ high walls

Or attend Mass at the cathedral with beautiful singing
Visit Jozani Forest to see rare red colobus monkeys
Transfer to a hotel on a beautiful white sand beach of Bwejuu village
Enjoy the afternoon at the beach

Relax at the beach, go snorkeling or scuba diving, enjoy excellent seafood, or explore the small village of Bwejuu
8/14/11 Depart Zanzibar
Relax at the beach in the morning or do more snorkeling
