Algeria is Africa’s largest country in area, with a mild California-like climate in the north and a large expanse of the Sahara Desert in the south.  Current travelers find Libya safe and peaceful, and the visa process is much easier than a few years ago.  GeoTours Algeria visits the capital city Algiers and the ancient Roman city of Tipaza.  The trip especially focuses on the spectacular desert landscapes of two parts of the Sahara: Tadrart Rouge in Tassili N’Ajjer National Park near the border of Niger & Libya, and Assekrem Mountain in Ahaggar National Park. The itinerary includes 3 nights of desert camping over one hundred miles from the nearest town.  Group will be led by Matt Ebiner with English-speaking local guides.

GEOTOURS ALGERIA COST = $2590 – includes lodging in a double/twin room at hotels for 5 nights, 1 night at a basic mountain hut, 3 nights desert camping with tent and sleeping bag provided, breakfasts each morning, all meals while camping, private tour bus in the north and 4WD vehicles in the Sahara, English-speaking guides, many entries/activities, and 3 domestic flights.  Airfare to Algeria is not included.  Single rooms are limited and cost +$390.  Discounts for GeoTours alumni and early registration
