Cape Town – July 2027

Depart USA to Cape Town, South Africa, or go a day or two earlier to have additional time.  If doing GeoTours Eswatini, this is the final night in that country.  If arriving in Cape Town earlier there are various activities or excursions you could do, like a visit to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, or to wineries in Stellenbosch or Groot Constantia.

Wed        7/21/27 – Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa

Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa, one of the world’s most beautifully located cities.  Stay

at Onomo Hotel (3*) or equivalent for 3 nights, near the beautiful V & A Waterfront with shops, restaurants, and gorgeous views.

Thu          7/22/27 – Cape Town

Experience some of Cape Town’s highlights: take a bus tour through the city and along the scenic coastline to Camp’s Bay.  Take the cableway up to the top of Table Mountain for spectacular views (only operates in good weather).   Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring on your own, with an option to hike Lion’s Head if the weather is good.  Night #2 in Cape Town.

Fri            7/23/27 – Cape Town

Visit Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, with outstanding floral displays of South Africa’s unique vegetation.  Travel through Table Mountain National Park to the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula.  Optional downhill hike (1-hour) from Cape Point to Cape of Good Hope, with beautiful beaches and views.  Watch African penguins in their native habitat at Boulders Beach.  Night #3 in Cape Town.

Sat           7/24/27 – Depart Cape Town to Namibia or fly home to USA

Depart Cape Town in the morning to fly to Windhoek if doing GeoTours Namibia, or fly home to the USA, probably arriving home on July 25.
